Our Health and Safety Commitment

As part of our commitment to creating a safe and comfortable environment for you, we have adopted a number of safety standards and precautionary measures throughout our hotel.

  1. All customer facing staff wear masks and other PPE as appropriate and deemed necessary.

  2. All staff have been trained on the correct removal and disposal of PPE.

  3. All staff have been briefed on the correct personal sanitation and safety protocols, with special emphasis for those carrying out housekeeping and food preparation roles.

  4. Temperature check for all staff prior to starting their shift.

  1. All guests and visitors to the hotel or café have their temperature taken prior to being allowed in.

  2. Guest required to fill-out health and travel declaration form during check in.

  3. Hand sanitizer is available in the reception lobby as well as other convenient locations throughout the hotel.

  1. Upon check out, all rooms are cleaned and sanitised in accordance to MOH guidance with special attention paid to high-touch areas.

  2. We practice social distancing when servicing our rooms with housekeeping staff wearing masks, gloves, and aprons.

  2. We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitisation of public areas, washrooms, and high-touch areas.

Travel Restrictions

Current Travel Restriction

The Ministry of Health (MOH) Brunei Darussalam has put in place a number of restrictions to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Brunei Darussalam.

Travel into Brunei (Foreigner)

All inbound travellers will need to isolate at an Isolation Hotel of their own choosing for between 2-14 days, based on their departure country.

 

The isolation period will be determined by MOH upon serving of the isolation notice when the traveller arrives in Brunei in accordance with the infectious diseases act (204).

All foreign nationals with an ETP will also be required to have the following:

​

  • Valid entry travel pass to enter Brunei.

  • A negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test result from a designated medical center that has been certified by the government of country of departure. All travelers are required to undergo the RT-PCR test 72 hours prior to traveling into Brunei. Official test result must state RT-PCR in order to be accepted as a valid COVID-19 test.

  • Proof of hotel booking no less than 6 days from the day of arrival. 

  • Proof of valid visa issued by the government of Brunei Darussalam. Click here to find out more.

  • Proof of payment for post arrival COVID-19-RT-PCR test.

  • Proof of installation of BruHealth on all traveler’s mobile device. 

    • The application is available on both IOS and Android platform​

*Any traveler who fails to present the relevant documents will not be allowed to board any flight to Brunei.

These restrictions aim to limit the number of travellers entering Brunei, whether for business or leisure, and to further reduce the overall risk to the general population.

Restrictions apply to all travellers, including citizens and permanent residents.

Anyone wishing to enter Brunei will need to apply for an Entry Travel Permit (ETP) or Arrival Deceleration (For citizen and PR)  via the link below.

What is Entry Travel Pass (ETP) ?

Entry Travel Pass

As of the 15th September, 2020, all foreign nationals who wish to enter Brunei will be required to obtain and Entry Travel Permit (ETP). ETP’s can only be applied for by a sponsoring company or family member via the PMO website here. 

​

Please take note that any foreign nationals who wish to enter the country must be for the purpose of essential travel only. The ETP may be issued for the following individuals:

  • Essential business travel (including official travel)

  • Students

  • Individual primarily here for the purpose of medical treatment

  • Compassionate and other special circumstances, such as parents, spouse, or other immediate family members of Brunei Citizens or Residents.

*Applications will be reviewed for considerations on a case-to-case basis by authorities.

​

The Entry Travel Pass is not a visa. The sponsoring agency (or sponsoring family member) is required to apply for entry visa on behalf of the travelers, should they require one.

​

The length of stay permitted for Entry Travel Pass holders will be determined according to the visa being issued.

​

Applying for Entry Travel Pass

Applications must be submitted by the sponsoring (receiving) agency or sponsoring family member in Brunei Darussalam on behalf of the traveler via Entry Travel Pass portal 

The contact person of the sponsoring agency or sponsoring family member must be available to be contacted at all times.

​

If the traveler is intending to make official travel to Brunei Darussalam, the sponsoring agency being a national authority or government agency must submit a supporting letter from the Permanent Secretary or Head of said agency.

​

If the traveler is intending to make business travel to Brunei Darussalam, the sponsoring agency being a private company must obtain and submit a letter of endorsement from the relevant Brunei Darussalam authority or government agency

​

Applications must be submitted at least 8 working days before intended date of travel.

​

Upon arrival, travelers will be required to undergo self-isolation at hotel accommodation for a period of between 2 to 14 days depending on the self-isolation notice that is given upon arrival as determined by the Ministry of Health’s risk assessment. Accommodation for the duration of post-arrival self-isolation must be selected from the drop down menu on the Entry Travel Pass application page It is the responsibility of the traveler or Sponsoring agency to book directly with hoteliers and secure such accommodation before arrival. It is advised to make a minimum booking duration of 6 days stay at the hotel

The sponsoring agency must provide the following documents with the application :

  • Traveler’s passport

  • Tentative flight itinerary / Vehicle registration number (for land travel)

  • Tentative hotel reservation in Brunei Darussalam for self-isolation purposes

  • A signed letter of undertaking from the sponsoring agency (or sponsoring family member), stating that self-isolation accommodation costs and COVID-19 RT-PCR tests upon arrival will be borne by the sponsoring agency (or sponsoring family member) and assuring that the traveler has been in good health and remained in the country of departure for 14 days prior to the intended date of travel

  • If sponsoring agency is a registered private company, a letter of endorsement from the relevant Brunei Darussalam authority or government agency

In view of the current COVID-19 situation in Brunei Darussalam, all bookings that has been made either through, phone, email or the link below, we will  waive the cancellation charges. please take note that this cancellation Policy only applies to guest staying at the hotel for isolation purpose only.

As per the Ministry Of Health (MOH) guest that wish to apply for their entry travel pass will need to have reservation confirmation at participating Hotels (Isolation Center). The guest must book at least SIX (6) Days of stay. in the event that the guest isolation period has been reduced by MOH, we will waive the charges accordingly.
